We have all met them--that couple who has been married for an indeterminable amount of years and still seem to be madly in love. What is their secret? Does he still bring her candy and flowers? Possibly. Yet, in most cases, it is more in the way the woman treats her husband that has a direct reflection on their happiness and the way he in return treats her. God created Soul Mates. Because of the shortcomings of our human nature, His Word very clearly teaches couples how they are to treat one another. Be subject to you husband. . .
Did you just roll your eyes? Women today are so confused about their place in the scheme of things. Being subject to our husband does not mean we are beneath him or less important than him. It means that we are covered by his love and protection. Just as Christ covers the church, so our husbands cover us.
4. Follow his advice. 5. Don’t whine and complain. Do not nag. Nagging belittles your husband and turns you into a shrew. 6. Do not interrupt or correct him. It is rude and condescending. 7. Take pride in making your home a place of comfort and a haven of rest. 8. Be content with the lifestyle your husband provides. 9. Be considerate of his wishes. 10. Resist manipulation to get your way. Respect your husband. . .
Respect is all wrapped up in the traditional marriage vows. Love, honor, and obey may seem old fashioned to some, and completely out of the question for others. However, these vows are a promise that you offer in respect to one another. For those of you who refuse to make this sort of vow to your soul mate, please think about this: you simply cannot keep promises that you are not willing to make. Thankfully, it is never too late to change your attitude.
Treat your husband like a dog?!?
Remember, if you don’t treat your man like a king, there is always another woman who is more than willing to.
