Listening to God...

We often forget that there are two parts to prayer.   As in any conversation, both parties speak.

When we pray, we talk with God and He listens. Unfortunately, we do not take the time to listen to what He has to say to us.  Prayer should be followed by silence. 

The Bible tells us to meditate on God’s Word. In Other words, we are to contemplate in silence. 

God speaks to His people in several ways. First, and foremost, He speaks through His Word.  This is why it is very important that we study His Word on a daily basis. God often uses the Holy Spirit to speak to us.  He sent the Holy Spirit specifically to lead and guide us. 

God speaks to us when we pray. When we are concentrating on God, our minds and hearts are open to Him. We give God the authority to have incredible communication with us.

Sometimes God communicates with us through other people.  Sometimes, God speaks to us through divine circumstances.  Why is it easier to believe in dumb luck that it is to believe that Almighty God can do amazing things in our lives?

​The possible ways in which our Loving Father can answer us are absolutely incredible.
